Mehdi Garemani, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Educational Psychology (CHEF) at Mississippi State University. His research focuses on human development and cognitive diversity, with a particular emphasis on higher-order thinking (HoT) skills, creativity, and wisdom from an educational psychology perspective. A mixed-method researcher certified in both quantitative and qualitative inquiry, he earned his Ph.D. in Educational Studies with a focus on Gifted, Creative, and Talented Studies from Purdue University. He is the founder of the UPSHOTs Lab, dedicated to investigating effective and productive modes of thinking, and the co-founder and co-director of the Imaginarium: Creativity & STEAM Discovery Center, which promotes contextually-responsive and creativity-enhancing STEM education for diverse learners.
