Samuel Stewart

Samuel (Sam) Stewart is a Ph.D. student in Educational Psychology at Mississippi State University. Originally from Southern Illinois, he earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at MSU before continuing into the doctoral program. His research interests include thinking styles and scientific reasoning, informal STEAM education, and supporting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Alongside his doctoral studies, Sam serves as the Academic Coordinator for the ACCESS Program at Mississippi State, a four-year, residential program designed to provide inclusive higher education opportunities for students with IDD who would not otherwise pursue a traditional college degree. Outside of academics and work, Sam enjoys running (most of the time), spending time with his cat, and connecting with friends, whether in person or through gaming.
